I thoroughly enjoy meeting different families and groups for various shoots such as; family portraits, couples engagement and pets. Sessions can take place either outdoors on location or in your home and garden. I also have a studio in Hartley Wintney which can fit small groups of four. I spend a lot of time working with children and animals so I will be very happy to meet and photograph your family. The packages below include digital files. Prints and wall art are also available to purchase after your session. Please get in touch if you have any questions or feel free to scroll down for rates and FAQ's.

COVID-19 & Doorstep Portraits: Doorstep Portraits can still be booked under 'The Mini' package. Scroll down for more info.

Lockdown 2020 & 2021 - Doorstep Portraits

In 2020 I raised over £100 for various charities doing local doorstep portrait sessions. These mini shoots can still be booked under the Mini Package listed above.  We will take a complete range of images, not just a quick snap in front of the door. I want to give you the feel of a real mini session as if we were on location but it's at home! Social distancing will be observed and I can wear a facemask for your added safety.  I have been successfully running 'Doorstep Portrait' sessions all through the pandemic so do get in touch if you'd like some more information or to book. They are 100% safe and does not involve leaving your property. :)

I am happy to travel to most places around the UK and even abroad if the opportunity arises! The Classic & Premium packages include travel within 20 miles of Hartley Wintney, Hampshire. The Mini package only includes local travel within 5 miles of Hartley Wintney, Hampshire. Travel is charged at 45 pence per mile thereafter.

What is your availability like?

I shoot on both weekdays and weekends. Weekends are usually booked up to 2 months in advance so do get in touch to secure a weekend date that is suitable for you.

I have quite a large group but would prefer to do The Mini Session. Can I add extra people to my booking?

The cost is £10 per extra person once the maximum person limit has been reached for your session.

How much are extra retouches?

Additional retouched images can be purchased for £25 each. Discounts are available for larger orders. I am unable to release un-edited files.

Alternatively, you can upgrade to have all of the best images from the shoot edited (up to 40 images) for an additional £350 if you have booked the Mini or Classic package.

Do you offer a loyalty programme?

Yes! All returning clients will receive a personalised photo gift after their session selected and designed by myself. If returning many times, the gift will be different each time. :)

How are you keeping Covid-19 safe?

- If you, someone you have been in contact with or someone in your household is feeling unwell with Covid-19 symptoms or otherwise please let me know so we can reschedule. You will not lose your deposit for a last minute reschedule, even if it is on the morning of. Just let me know.
- Social distancing will be maintained where possible. Please be considerate to passing members of the public if shooting outside.
- I am happy to wear a face mask during your session - please let me know if you'd be more comfortable if I wore a mask.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

I do yes! I have professionally printed gift vouchers readily available. You can either purchase a full session, value towards a session or even a re-touch gift card for £20 if you know someone that had a shoot recently and would like to gift something small. Gift vouchers are valid for 2 years. I can either post it to you or drop the voucher off locally.

Do you also shoot on film?

Yes! Remember those little plastic point and shoots that you would send off to a lab? I can now take those little cameras to the next level with professional film photography, a skill I have crafted in my personal time while building the business and now I am able to include this style of photography in my professional work.

I love the aesthetic from film that is unmatchable in digital editing and I think it will just be a lovely bonus to any session.

I have my own darkroom at home where I can develop all of these images myself but I will use a professional lab for the processing of your images.

Film however, is not always reliable which is why I will be shooting digital alongside the entire time. Film camera's are no longer made so the technology of my film cameras which I'll be using date back to between the 70s-90s.

What's exciting is that even I won't be able to see the images until they have come back from the lab so I'll be even more excited to share them with you.

The cost to add film to your session is £300 for one roll of 120 and 35mm film (includes cost of film, processing & prints - roughly 35 images combined.)

How will payment work?

A non refundable deposit of £50.00 is required at the time of booking to secure the session and the balance will be due on the day. If the deposit is not paid at the time of booking the slot will be re-opened for other clients. I will manually check your payment and will mark your deposit as paid as soon as I can.

If you decide to re-schedule your booking for another date or time, your deposit will be held and transferred to the new date. (Up to 1 weeks notice required or the deposit will be lost and must be paid again. The late cancellation fee is waivered if you are displaying any Covid symptoms or if you test positive for Covid - you must let me know before your session as to not lose your deposit.) In the event of a missed session (no show) with no prior communication, the deposit will be lost and a new deposit will be required to re-schedule to another day.

In some cases, I take a pause during the winter for temporary work with a cruise line and my availability will change. If this happens, the deposit can be transferred to a date the following year.

If I have to cancel your session and cannot fit you in during the following year your deposit will be refunded.

What does the session fee cover?

The fee covers your physical photo shoot and the number of included digital edited images stated in the package you have chosen. Additional edited images can be purchased for £25 each. Discounts are available for larger orders. I am unable to release un-edited files I'm afraid as they don't reflect a true representation of my work. All images included in your package, or additional purchased images will be edited and provided in high-res without a watermark.

What should I wear?

Choose a style of clothing that suits the location or type of shoot that you have booked and something that is flattering on you. If you'd like to bring options that is also possible and I can provide a pop up changing tent if shooting outdoors. Don't forget to steam or iron out any creases that you might have.

What happens if it rains?

If you have booked an outdoor session we may have to reschedule if rain is forecast. I will keep you posted if bad weather is forecast.

As we are in England... when is the best time to shoot?

Shortly after sunrise, or a few hours before sunset is the best time to have a session to catch the beautiful soft light.

A cloudy day can also make for beautiful images - it really depends on the look that you prefer. If you'd like me to point out the cloudy and sunny day images in my portfolio to help you decide, just let me know. I am happy to re-schedule if the sun doesn't make an appearance for us!

What is your turnaround time?

It can usually take up to 2 weeks to get your edited images back to you. If you need them urgently there is an optional priority edit fee of £15 per image to speed up turnaround time to 48 hours.

How should I prepare during the time leading up to my shoot?

For the week running up to the shoot make sure you are getting the right amount of sleep and don't drink heavily! Especially don't turn up hungover. You won't be pleased with how you look on camera. It has happened. Stay hydrated all week if possible! Keep eyebrows well groomed and don't try any new face treatments that your skin isn't used to too close to the day. Avoid fake tan and if you are getting a hair cut, have it done the week before rather than the week of the shoot so it has time to settle. Keep your face moisturised running up to the shoot and use a clear lip balm every day and on the day to avoid dry lips. Bring your lip balm with you! :)

What if I am running early or late?

Depending on your time slot I may be with another client or have another client after you so please aim to be on time. If you are late this will eat into your session time. If you are early you are welcome to find a nearby cafe or pub to wait in (if open). Just drop me a text to let me know you have arrived: 07767 753473.

What happens after the session?

Within 24 hours of the session and receipt of the balance, I will eliminate any shots of closed eyes and upload all of the good proofs to an online gallery which is password protected. There you will be able to view all of the unedited images. The gallery has an easy selection tool to mark your final images. At this stage I will edit your chosen images. Your gallery will be kept online for 2 years, after which your files will be deleted. You will be notified before this happens in case you'd like to purchase any remaining images. Your images may also be used on my website or social media pages as advertising to help spread the word. Please let me know if you'd prefer your images to be kept between us. Once you have your images you are free to use them for your own personal purposes. I am on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter so you are welcome to tag me in your uploads as credit is very much appreciated. Please contact me for guidance and terms if a magazine or newspaper approaches you to use the images.

Will you retouch the images before we choose them?

Unlike traditional family photographer's I prefer to upload all of the images from the session as they are and then edit the images once you have made your selection. I'm not a fan of the upselling method where the photographer will edit a selection making you feel as though you should purchase more than your allocated images. If you'd like additional images you are more than welcome to take a look through and select more. I can also make my own selection of favourites if this helps with the selection process. Please let me know during your shoot and I will arrange my favourite images to appear first in the gallery.

How much editing do you do?

I take a lot of care in the editing process from the perfect crop right to the tiniest blemish on your skin. Spots will be removed along with stray hairs, dry patches of skin, and much more. If there is anything extra you'd like me to do just let me know and I can see if it is possible to do.

Can I edit the images myself?

As I pride myself on my branding I do not allow any further editing on images once delivered to the client. This includes Instagram filters... ;) I would also recommend to refrain from sharing any unedited images in a professional context until you have received your final re-touched images. If there is anything specific that you have in mind, please let me know.

I'd like to get some of the images printed. What are your options?

When your digital edited images are delivered to you, there will be the option to purchase professional lab quality prints & art work directly through your gallery. This cut's out all the hassle of taking your images to Boots etc but you are also welcome to print the images yourself. I also design photobooks. Please let me know if you'd like some more information on photobooks.
